7 Pillars of Health and Healing
The 7 Pillars of Health describes the essential principles of creating health through nutrition. It is used as a roadmap to help patients restore their health and vitality, achieving their wellness potential and feeling “fully alive.” Each of us has been blessed with a genetic physiological genius. How we support our genes determine the level of health we will have. This is accomplished using whole food nutritional supplements along with guiding and coaching on the principles of the 7 Pillars.
The 7 Pillars and their essential principles:
Endocrine / Neuro-hormonal Pillar is the 1st Pillar of Health. As you know your brain controls your body. It does it over two main pathways, the nervous system and the hormonal system, which when properly supported is our body’s main system of healing and repair.
Glycemic Management is the 2nd Pillar of Health, which is about balancing blood sugar. The largest stress our bodies undergo is called hypoglycemia or low blood sugar. This happens from eating lots of starches (pasta, bread, white potatoes and rice). The body responds by producing insulin which pushes the blood sugar down lower. When this is done repeatedly it leads to hypoglycemia. Balancing this pillar by increasing your protein and fat consumption and removing the starches goes a long way towards getting you healthy.
Bioterrain is the 3rd Pillar of Health. This is our mineral system which is very important in keeping our body healthy. Minerals are needed in almost every reaction in our body. Keeping our body mineralized will keep us from becoming too acidic, which is where most disease proliferates.
Inflammation is the 4th Pillar of Health. Chronic inflammation causes the inability for our body to repair itself. The major cause of inflammation in our body is a core food allergen. Determining and removing this food allergen can dramatically reduce your total body inflammation.
Immune is the 5th Pillar of Health. Hidden cavitated infections and infestations chronically upregulate your immune system, which fatigues your adrenals and your bone marrow. These low grade immune challenges decrease strength of your immune system’s ability to fight the large immune challenges when they come.
Cardiovascular is the 6th Pillar of Health. Your Heart and arteries are essential to your life. Focusing on cleansing out the arteries and building up the blood quality can literally save your life.
Digestive Potency is the 7th Pillar of Health. Our digestion must be potent enough to extract nutrients from the food we eat, as well as properly eliminate the toxins. Balancing the gut ecology (good and bad bacteria, fungus etc) is also essential when you consider that 80% of our immune system resides in our gut.
The 7 Pillars model can be used to help you restore your health to an ideal level and give you the vitality to live the life you have always wanted.
