Take Action!

Did you take action last week? Did you really? I am curious… Did you start with the easiest item on your list or the hardest? Did you start with the one that had the most ROI (Return on Investment)? If you moved forward with action… Congratulations! In just 4 short weeks you accomplished what many people are un-willing to do. You assessed where you were at, identified what you wanted, planned how to go about getting it, and made six steps towards achieving it. How do you feel? Ready to for the next step? Repeat step 4! That is what it takes, action! Daily focus and attention moves you forward weekly. Weekly moves you into monthly and monthly moves you into the end of the year. What direction are you going in daily, weekly, monthly, yearly? Before you know it, you look back and say, where the heck did that year go? If you write your intention, and place your attention on it, taking action toward achieving it, You Will Achieve It! Oh sure, you say, things will get in the way? Have you ever seen a toddler intent on getting something they wanted? Let’s say it is a piece of candy. What will they do to get that candy? They may ask politely, walk up and get it, whine, cry, throw a fit, ask a friend to ask you… the list goes on and I guarantee you they will think of some way to get what they want. Now as a parent, I have fully used the distraction technique. It has worked. Are you going to let someone, even yourself use the distraction technique and divert you off of your prize? Your intention is worth more than that… You are worth more than that! Do not be distracted! Is there only one way to achieve your intention? I’m going to bet there is a multitude of ways to achieve your intention. A universe full of ways, and if I am wrong and at this moment in time there is only one way to achieve your intention… invent a new way. Keep your focus. Place your attention on achieving what you want. Every day this week I challenge you to write 3 action items you will take toward your intention. Use last week’s exercise to help you determine action items to do if you need to. Remember, every day, 3 action items to complete and if you are not able to complete them in one day roll them over to the next. Always keep 3 on your daily action item list that move you toward the goal you want to achieve this year.
